The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has been advised that persons representing themselves as employees of the above-referenced entity are contacting individuals regarding student loan applications. Applicants are requested to send the application fee to a Western Union office in Toronto. To date, no loans have been provided and the fees paid by applicants have not been returned.
Please note that the referenced entity is not affiliated with Wachovia Corporation, Charlotte, NC, or any of its subsidiaries, including Wachovia Bank, N.A. Canadian authorities report that the entity is also not authorized to act as a lending institution in Canada.
