The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host a virtual event focused on educating stakeholders about the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in Kansas. VITA is designed to help build individuals’ financial capacity by increasing awareness of tax resources for low- and moderate-income (LMI) households and small businesses. One goal of the event is connecting financial institutions and community-based organizations to opportunities for partnership and investment to increase the number of individuals and communities who benefit from this program. For more information, please contact OCC Community Affairs Officer Mike Nield at Michael.Nield@occ.treas.gov.
