Steven Yohai Appointed To Manage OCC's Information and Communications Technology Systems

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) announced the appointment of Steven M. Yohai as the agency's deputy comptroller for information technology services and chief information officer (CIO). He is responsible for the development and maintenance of the agency's computer information, telecommunications, and technology systems.

Mr. Yohai has managed a variety of computer and telecommunications systems in the public and private sectors. He worked at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) from 1987 to 1990, when he left the federal government to become senior manager for network systems at MCI Telecommunications. In 1992, Mr. Yohai rejoined HUD, where he became CIO in 1995 and was responsible for the department's computer operations, telecommunications, and systems development.

Mr. Yohai earned his B.S. from Rutgers College in 1975 and followed this with graduate work at the University of Virginia.
