Shari Lamar is the Associate Deputy Comptroller for the East Region at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
In this role, Ms. Lamar serves as an expert advisor to the Deputy Comptroller for Community Bank Supervision on all financial institution matters and provides executive direction for Midsize and Community Bank Supervision operations including bank and thrift supervision and personnel management.
Prior to this role, Ms. Lamar served as a Team Leader and Examiner-in-Charge in Large Bank Supervision. She has also served in various leadership roles in Midsize and Community Bank Supervision, including Midsize Resource Team Manager, Assistant Deputy Comptroller, and Midsize Bank Supervision Examiner in Charge. She also worked in the banking industry for 12 years prior to joining the OCC. Ms. Lamar holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from The Ohio State University.
