Matthew White is an Associate Deputy Comptroller for Midsize and Trust Supervision at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
In this role, Mr. White serves as an expert advisor to the Deputy Comptroller for Midsize and Trust Bank Supervision on all financial institution matters, and provides executive direction for Midsize and Community Bank Supervision operations including bank and thrift supervision, and personnel management.
Prior to the Associate Deputy Comptroller role, Mr. White served as the Assistant Deputy Comptroller for the Midsize Bank Supervision (MBS), where he managed a team of examiners responsible for the regulation and oversight of six midsize national banks and thrifts, ranging in size from $17 billion to $85 billion in total assets and totaling over $200 billion in aggregate total assets. Mr. White also served in various leadership roles in MBS supervising commercial lending and stress testing practices.
Mr. White joined the OCC in 2005 in the San Antonio Field Office and earned the National Bank Examiner commission in October 2009 and Federal Thrift Regulator accreditation in July 2013. He graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University.
