Kristen Baldwin

Kristen Baldwin is the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Data Officer (CDO), and Senior Agency Official for Records Management (SAOR) at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

In this role, Ms. Baldwin is responsible for leading information technology (IT) operations and managing security and privacy programs, compliance, enterprise architecture, and directing the modernization of enterprise systems, services, and products. She oversees the reliability of IT operations to support the agency's mission of ensuring the safety and soundness of national banks as well as fair and equal access to financial services for all Americans. Ms. Baldwin is responsible for data management and serves as the SAOR, acting on behalf of the Comptroller to ensure the OCC efficiently and appropriately complies with all applicable records management statutes, regulations, and policy. She assumed these responsibilities in February 2023.

Prior to assuming her current role, Ms. Baldwin served as the Assistant Administrator for Information and Technology Services, and the CIO, at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this executive leadership role, she was responsible for the delivery of IT services and products that enable the FAA's mission and strategic plan. Prior to joining the FAA, she held several leadership positions within the U.S. Department of Transportation, serving as Deputy CIO and as Associate CIO for IT Policy and Oversight. Ms. Baldwin also served as the Director of the Resource Management Office for the Office of the Chief Information Officer.

Ms. Baldwin holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Virginia and a master of science degree in information systems from the George Washington University.
