WASHINGTON — The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency announced today that Carolyn DuChene has been appointed Deputy Comptroller for Operational Risk Policy.
Ms. DuChene will oversee all activities related to operational risk and bank information technology. She originally joined the OCC in 1984 and is currently Assistant Deputy Comptroller in the OCC Cleveland Field Office.
"Carolyn brings good perspective to the Operational Risk unit and to the Bank Supervision Policy management team,” said Tim Long, Senior Deputy Comptroller for Bank Supervision Policy. Mr. Long added, “Her past experiences as a Large Bank Examiner-In-Charge and most recently as Assistant Deputy Comptroller for our Cleveland field office will serve us well as we expand our capabilities in the Operational Risk arena and respond effectively to emerging risk and trends throughout the national bank system."
Ms. Duchene will be replacing Deputy Comptroller Mark O’Dell who is retiring in September of 2010.
