The OCC today announced the appointment of Archie L. Bransford, Jr., as District Administrator of the Southeastern District. He will be reporting there by June 5, 1995. Mr. Bransford joined the OCC in 1973 as a financial intern and is currently a multinational bank examiner in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was commissioned a National Bank Examiner in 1980 and has worked as a field manager in Cincinnati and in Special Supervision in Washington, D.C.
As District Administrator, Mr. Bransford is responsible for the supervision of approximately 387 national banks in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Mr. Bransford graduated from the University of Detroit in Detroit, Michigan in 1975. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Mr. Bransford will be reporting to Deputy Comptroller Donald G. Coonley in Atlanta.
