CRA for Community Based Organizations (Durant, OK - May 22, 2019)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Reserve Board of Kansas City are co-sponsoring a workshop in Durant, Oklahoma on May 22, 2019. The workshop is designed for representatives from non-profits, community-based organizations, and public sector agencies interested in understanding the Community Reinvestment Act and how it provides meaningful impact to the communities they serve. Topics will include an overview of the CRA, the types of activities that qualify for CRA consideration, and strategies to develop successful partnerships with banks. CRA for Community Based Organizations (Columbus, OH - May 29, 2019)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland are co-sponsoring a training in Columbus, Ohio on May 29, 2019. Interagency Workshop for Bankers: CRA Basics (Baltimore, Md. - June 3, 2019)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond are co-sponsoring a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) workshop in Baltimore, Md., on June 3, 2019. Designed for bank CRA and compliance officers, this workshop will provide an overview of the CRA bank exam process and the basics of the CRA regulation. More specifically, the workshop will help participants with CRA exam preparation, understanding community development, developing a CRA action plan, assessing community needs, and determining performance context factors. Interagency CRA for CBOs Workshop (Memphis, TN - June 4, 2019)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation are cosponsoring a workshop in Memphis, Tenn., on June 4, 2019. Designed for community-based organizations, the workshop will review the purpose of the Community Reinvestment Act and introduce key regulatory definitions, explain various technical requirements of the regulation, and discuss how community organizations can work with banks to meet local community credit and banking needs. Interagency Banker Roundtable: Affordable Housing Partnerships in Central Florida (Orlando, Fla. - July 24, 2019)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta are cosponsoring a roundtable in Orlando, Fla., on July 24, 2019. Event organizers will review affordable housing partnership opportunities in the Orlando metropolitan area. Local housing leaders will discuss the recently released regional affordable housing plan. Financial institutions and community organizations will discuss innovative activities and partnerships to create, diversify, and preserve affordable housing in the region. The roundtable will also provide an overview of the Community Reinvestment Act and regulatory resources to support access to affordable mortgage credit. Attendees will include bankers, government representatives, affordable housing professionals, and community organizations representatives. Interagency Workshop for Bankers: CRA Beyond the Basics (Petersburg, Va. - July 31, 2019)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond's Charlotte branch are cosponsoring a workshop in Petersburg, Va., on July 31, 2019. This workshop is an advanced banker Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) training tailored for experienced CRA Officers of intermediate-small banks and large banks. Topics discussed include, self-assessment concepts and tools, incorporating performance context and change, and an in-depth review of community development activities through a hands-on case study analysis and small group discussion.
