OCC Regulations

The OCC is the primary regulator of banks chartered under the National Bank Act (12 USC 1 et seq.) and federal savings associations chartered under the Home Owners Loan Act of 1933 (12 USC 1461 et seq.). You will find the OCC's regulations, derived from these acts, in Title 12 of the Code of Federal Regulations - Banks and Banking (12 CFR Parts 1-199).

Before codification in the Code of Federal Regulations, the OCC publishes its rules in the Federal Register. Below is a list of the most recent OCC rulemakings published in the Federal Register. Prior OCC rulemakings are available at the Federal Register Web site and at Regulations.gov. Public comments to OCC rulemakings may be found at Regulations.gov by searching under the rule’s docket number.
