 Interagency CRA New Officer Training (Birmingham, AL - May 21, 2013)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation agree to co-sponsor an Interagency CRA New Officer Training on May 21, 2013 in Birmingham, Alabama. This workshop is designed for CRA Officers of Small or Intermediate Small Banks interested in obtaining up-to-date information regarding developing a CRA Plan for their bank, forming meaningful partnerships, learning about qualified community development lending, services, and investments, assessing community needs, and creating the bank's personal CRA Performance Context.

 Arizona Bankers CRA Roundtable (Phoenix, AZ - May 22, 2013)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will co-sponsor the Arizona Bankers CRA Roundtable on May 22, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona. The meeting will focus on banker and community-based initiatives aimed at asset building strategies for low-and moderate-income populations. A presentation of the FDIC's 2011 Survey of Banks' Efforts to Serve the Unbanked and Underbanked will be followed by panel presentations showcasing statewide asset building programs and a bankers-only roundtable discussion on current CRA-related issues.

Interagency CRA for Community Based Organizations (Columbus, OH May 22, 2013) 
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will co-sponsor a CRA workshop for community-based organizations on May 22, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio.  This workshop will provide information about the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) that will help community organizations improve their ability to collaborate effectively with banks. This training is for non-bank community service and community development practitioners from local government and non-profit organizations that provide social services, housing, educational, business development or employment services to low- and moderate-income communities and underserved consumers.  Working Relationships: Community Reinvestment Act Information for Community and Faith-Based Organizations (Austin, TX - May 22, 2013)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the United Way for Greater Austin, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), will co-sponsor a workshop on the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) for community based organizations on May 22, 2013 in Austin, Texas. The purpose of this workshop is to gain a solid informational foundation of the regulation, and to learn how community organizations can collaborate more effectively with banks. Topics include an overview of the CRA, understanding the impact of bank performance context, the types of activities that qualify for CRA consideration and strategies to develop successful partnerships with banks.  Duluth Interagency CRA for Community Based Organizations Training (Duluth, MN- May 22, 2013)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will co-sponsor CRA training for community based organizations on May 23, 2013 in Duluth, Minnesota. This training is geared to non-profit community development organizations and governmental agencies involved in community economic development. The training will provide information concerning the scope of CRA compliance management activities and the scope of community development activity that comes under the purview of the regulation.  Delta Community Development Forum: A Focus on Microfinance Opportunities (Helena AR- May 29, 2013)
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will host a free session on the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and micro-lending on May 29, 2013 in Helena Arkansas. The event will focus on microbusiness finance opportunities and the obstacles facing small businesses in the Delta when applying for small dollar credit. The event will also promote partnership opportunities between the micro-lenders and the financial institutions. Building Partnerships: Interagency CRA Workshop for Community Based Organizations (Salisbury, MD- May 30, 2013) 
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will co-sponsor a CRA workshop for community-based organizations on May 30, 2013 in Salisbury, Maryland. The workshop is designed for staff of community-based organizations who are interested in obtaining current information and training on the CRA and how it can benefit their organizations. It will explore how to constructively work with banks to improve neighborhoods and communities.

Small Business Lending Summit (Denver, CO- June 13, 2013) 
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will co-sponsor a Small Business Lending Summit on June 13, 2013 in Denver, Colorado. The Small Business Lending Summit will provide information about state and federal small business credit enhancement programs as well as ways banks can partner with CDFI microlenders.

Business Opportunities in Community Development Lending (Augusta, ME- June 14, 2013) 
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will a Community Development Lending forum on June 14, 2013 in Augusta, Maine.  The morning portion of the workshop will focus on the work of community development intermediaries operating in the State of Maine.  The afternoon session will provide an opportunity for community organizations to learn about the Community Reinvestment Act.

Growing Rural Economies: A Microbusiness Lending Forum (July 2, 2013 - Ruston, LA) 
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will host a forum on new and innovative loan products for funding microbusinesses on July 2, 2013, in Ruston, Louisiana.  Representatives from SBA, ACCION, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Louisiana Economic Development will be on hand to discuss their loan products and technical assistance programs.

Export Financing Opportunities for Community Banks (Knoxville, TN - July 10, 2013) 
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Small Business Administration, and the Tennessee Small Business Development Center will be co-sponsoring an export financing workshop on July 10, 2013, in Knoxville, Tennessee. This workshop will educate lenders on the opportunities to grow their small business lending by utilizing the SBA's Export Financing Programs and the US Export-Import Bank. Panelists will describe programs that mitigate banks' risks by guaranteeing loans made using these programs as well as other resources bankers' business clients.

Indianapolis Interagency CRA 101 Training (Indianapolis, IN - July 11, 2013) 
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago will co-sponsor a CRA training workshop on July 11, 2013 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The workshop will provide bank and thrift CRA officers with an overview of CRA exam preparation, information on how to identify qualified investments and community development loans and services, and suggestions for developing a CRA plan.  The workshop will also cover the topics of assessing community needs and creating a bank's individual CRA performance context and more.
